Well blow me down! The original Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego was actually released on 3.5" disk in probably more limited quantities, as recently found on an eBay auction, confirming what I saw in Broderbund's later catalogues.

We are now lucky enough to possess a copy of it! The game should run fine from any IIe, IIc, IIc+ and IIGS equipped with a 3.5" disk drive. No more disk swapping necessary! It runs from System 6 just fine, although a quick copy to a hard drive resulted in an error when opening - another hard pathname preventing it to be run from anything other than from the 3.5" disk!

Enjoy this newer version of the absolute classic but don't forget there's a IIGS specific version as well.

All we need to do now is track down the 8-bit 3.5" disk version of Where in the U.S.A. is Carmen Sandiego, and we'll have a complete collection of every version of the series available on 3.5" disk!
