Playwrite: The Talking Puppets was a late IIGS release by Sunburst Communications. It's basically a sequel, if you can call a piece of creative software that, for Cartooners. Using the same lead dog and cat characters from that Electronic Arts release (which Talking Puppets needed to acknowledge on their splash screen) kids can expand upon how the characters can interact through talking with each other. Children can script scenes, specifying character names, their dialogue, the sound of their voices, the look of their costumes and sets.

The program can be installed onto a hard drive and run from System 6, however, the IIGS seems to crash whenever using this setup. System 5.0.4 yields better results (which is true of a lot of educational IIGS software).
